Job description
- Manage the activities and the performances of the team of Suzhou site in order to achieve QCD targets
- Monitor, manage and optimize procurement activity
- Manage important purchasing projects including scheduling, milestone tracking, status reporting and issue resolution
- Develop requests for quotations, analyze supplier responses, negotiate and implement supplier business
contracts for regional and national indirect commodities
- Collaborate with Safran Purchasing teams to implement purchasing strategies
- Develop road map through analyzing the spend and identifying cost reduction opportunities
- Ensure productivity reporting in Safran Purchasing tools
- Deploy procedures, processes and contract models (in collaboration with Legal), foster best practices
- Monitor supplier performance and contract execution
- Ensure internal customer satisfaction
Candidate skills & requirements
Desired profile
Education:
- Degree holder in Purchasing or equivalent experience
Professional Experience:
- Three to five years' experience in a lead buyer position which includes setting supplier agreements, price negotiations and material planning
- Previously experienced in a similar role in both purchasing and management
Key Capabilities:
- Autonomous
- Communication skills and relationship management
- Organizational and prioritization skills to manage multiple tasks and concurrent projects simultaneously
- Ability to drive organizational change and to develop corporate spirit
- Ability to travel in China and occasionally overseas
Job Knowledge and Expertise:
- Purchasing negotiation skills and related legal aspects
- Procurement, supply chain and cost breakdown analysis
- Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office
- ERP systems
- Fluent English, French language is an advantage
