As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will be working on both existing and brand-new products for brands such as Oral-B and Braun, from prototype stage to mass production. You will join a team of passionate engineers and work closely with hardware engineers, creating the software architecture for our products and testing them to our high standards. We are looking for an individual who has a passion for delivering excellent results and loves the challenge of delivering creative solutions on predefined cost and schedules.

ROLE RESPONSABILITIES:
• You will develop modular embedded software code for a range of small domestic consumer devices such as electric toothbrushes, shavers and other small home appliances.
• You will be responsible for the evaluation of the overall performance of the device with focus on microcontroller and embedded software.
• You will analyze the interaction between the hardware and software parts.
• You will also test the system and complete test reports.
• You will work on transferring software into mass production.
•You will be a strong collaborator and partners seamlessly with internal multifunctional teams based in US, China and Germany and with our external global partners.
• You can demonstrate effective written and verbal communication (English).

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS JUNIOR SOFTWARE DEVELOPER
•M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
•Experience in programming language Embedded C. (we have also a pre-screening question regarding this qualification).
•Experience in electronic hardware and application of microcontroller peripherals.
•Experience in software management tools (bug tracking systems, version control, requirements engineering, test case management and testing tools).

Supporting experience:
• Project Management Skills

QUALIFICATIONS IOT SYSTEM INTEGRATOR
• M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with 3-5 years of embedded software development plus 2-3 years of software architecture design.
• Experience in developing modular software architectures for embedded systems.
• Experience in programming language Embedded C. (we have also a pre-screening question regarding this qualification)
• Experience in electronic hardware and application of microcontroller peripherals.
• Experience in software management tools (bug tracking systems, version control, requirements engineering, test case management and testing tools).

Supporting knowledge
• Knowledge in wireless communication protocols to connect IoT applications.
• Technical knowledge in encryption / decryption methods and digital signing.
•Knowledge in software development and system architecture (C++, Java/Android, swift/iOS).
• Use of appropriate software and security strategies and technologies.
• Exposure to cloud computing, infrastructure and security in connected network.
• Project Management Skills.
• Broad experience with high volume products with special regards on cost sensitivity.
