What will I do?

As a Laboratory Analyst at Procter & Gamble, you are responsible for the sampling of all production materials for use in a regulated manufacturing environment, You perform all sampling of bulk raw and packaging materials, and conduct all analytical testing (e.g. dimensional, visual) of packaging components. Other responsibilities include:

·  Maintain cGMP principles and Good Documentation Practices
·  Ability to figure out sample size based on lot size and type of material and perform the mathematical calculations as necessary.
·  Perform detailed cleaning procedures to prevent inadvertent contamination of raw materials and samples obtained during the sampling process.
·  Verify, maintain and document the cleanliness of sampling areas per established guidelines.
·  Prepare necessary documents for samples collected.
·  Log raw material and packaging components into the laboratory and destruct testing material after completion of sampling. Organize and maintain samples and records for these component retains.

We believe in order to be able to perform on the job, you will need to meet the following physical requirements:

·  Lift 50 pounds by bending and stooping; climb, stand and move around on stairs, ladders and platforms; twist, turn and bend
·  Able to wear a respirator while working

Further, our technicians have and are able to display skills in manufacturing processes, including operating, maintaining and cleaning automated equipment; maintaining accurate records and data; strong technical, communication and analytical skills; and knowledge of computers.

Our Phoenix plant operates 7-days per week. Employees work any day of the week including schedule adjustments to weekends as needed, but normally with advanced notice. Work on weekends may be overtime or as part of the normal schedule. Changes in business volume and production requirements can cause the plant to occasionally change the length of work shift or the rotation schedule. The hours of work vary from 8 to 12 hours per day. Shift rotations vary from working a single straight shift to working two or three rotating shifts. Technicians are expected to be willing to rotate and to work any shift. Additional days could be mandatory and asked to be worked as overtime.

Additionally, the safety of our employees is of great importance to Procter & Gamble. Technicians will be required to wear appropriate safety equipment, including, but not limited to, safety shoes, safety glasses, ear protection, eye protection, and additional outwear and/or a personal respirator depending on the location and task. You should follow all safety rules, read necessary Safety Data Sheets, use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment and help maintain an accident-free work area.

We ask that you provide your own transportation to and from the Phoenix Plant where all testing and interviewing happens.

Qualifications

We believe you will be an excellent fit here if you:

·  Are 18 years of age or older
·  Have a minimum of a high school diploma, GED or equivalent education
·  Have computer literacy sufficient to use standard software (MS Office) as well as production-specific software and instrumentation.
·  Have the ability to understand and follow cleaning, sampling & testing standard operating procedures (SOP’s).
·  Able to complete mathematical calculations to calculate sample quantities and possess good reading and comprehension skills to read, interpret, and understand labels on materials, necessary material
·  Have prior experience in Quality Assurance or Compliance (desired)
·  Currently reside in the Greater Phoenix area, or be willing and able to relocate without any financial assistance from P&G
