The North America Home Care Contract Manufacturing (CM) Local Analyst position provides Finance & Accounting support for all activities that enable external manufacturer production of P&G Home Care products including the Febreze, Mr. Clean, Swiffer, Microban24, Dawn, and Cascade brands. The Local Analyst plays an important cross-functional role working with Product Supply Operations, Purchasing, R&D, Engineering, and Quality Assurance to ensure accurate financial forecasts, actuals reconciliations, pricing analysis, and financial controls. This work is integral to the Home Care CM team, and the CM organization is a key enabler of the growth objectives for Home Care, one of the fastest growing Operating Units in P&G.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Financial Forecast Ownership – Lead the bottoms-up CM cost forecast creation, with support and guidance from the Home Care CM Plant Finance Manager. Create the 3rd party toll fee forecast and collaborate with multi-functional partners to complete the rest of the cost forecast. Complete reconciliations of forecast changes and actual spending versus forecast.

2. Net Savings – Calculation and ownership of Home Care CM cost savings project reporting. Reconciliation of pricebook updates for savings tracking. Ensure all savings match and flow through the forecast as expected and follow internal guidelines for savings reporting.

3. Stewardship and Financial Controls – Provide support for financial controls testing. Provide guidance to CM organization to ensure accounting compliance. Manage year-end processes for accruals and cost reserves.

4. Systems – Maintain knowledge of SAP and P&G financial systems to enable needed data reporting and trouble shooting. Help test and implement new P&G financial reporting systems for the Contract Manufacturing organization as needed.

5. Master Data – Enable capacity growth through support of new Contract Manufacturer setups as needed. Provide support for finished product standard cost creation. Manage Contract Manufacturer cost allocations setup for each new fiscal year.

6. Process Simplification – Identify ways to improve the financial processes. Areas of focus include forecast processes, reconciliations, actuals proofing, and Contract Manufacturer pricebooks.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE

1. Strong written and oral communication

2. Leadership, self-motivation, and collaboration skills to work through uncertainty of business situations

3. Agility to deal with fast changing pace of the Contract Manufacturing organization

4. Systems knowledge including SAP preferred

5. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

6. Basic Accounting knowledge

7. Financial analysis and problem solving to identify areas of opportunity for business savings and/or productivity process improvements
