Main assignment
· The Ergonomics Engineer conducts ergonomics assessments of production equipment, provides technical solutions in coordination with the industrial and plant team members. He/she participates to virtual simulations of future equipment, eliminating potential issues during development. He/she contributes to the overall production environment improvement by identifying other factors contributing to well-being at the workstation.
Missions:
Manage the Europe INERGO community
· Manage the INERGO (through monthly meetings and plant visits)
· Define and manage Ergonomics improvement actions in Europe (Ergo 1, 2, 3)
Maintain and develop the global INERGO tool and methodology
· Maintain the INERGO database
· Develop and maintain the training modules for ergonomics
· Develop tools and methodologies to support the improvement of ergonomics, with a focus on virtual 3D (Alphavision) and on full line assessment, from deflashing to finished goods delivery.
· Identify other drivers of workstation well-being (noise, repetitive work patterns or others)
· Define guide lines and standards to design machines right first time for ergonomics
Develop the 3D virtual application
· Develop the use of the SAS Cube room installed in Alphatech.
· Perform the ergonomics assessment from deflashing to finished goods delivery. Develop the full layout assessment (virtual layout)
Technological benchmarking
· Stay informed of latest technologies in the field of ergonomic solutions: collaborative robots, part loading and transfer systems, human / machine interfaces, and others.
· Conduct benchmark activities and visits to external sites to gather ideas and information on new solutions.
· Analyze current practices in PO sites. Capitalize on best practices
Profile
·
Personal Background
· Engineering Degree
· Specialization in Ergonomics and Health and Safety on the workplace.
· Experience in Ergonomic Principles application in a production environment
· Knowledge in Lean Manufacturing principles
· Must be fluent in English

Job Technical skills
· Advanced knowledge of health and safety key drivers In a industrial environment.
· Knowledge in Machinery Design : mechanical, electrical, controls
· Knowledge of PO Auto Inergy manufacturing processes (molding, mechanical assembly, special machines)
· Ability to collect, maintain and analyze data
· Ability to analyze machine conception issues and provide corrective action
