Your challenge

Are you the enthusiastic, talented intern we're looking for?

You will be working hand in hand with our marketing and portfolio managers to support the fast growth of our business. Gathering market & consumer insights to support new proposition definitions and to create communication materials to show our proposition superiority in the market.

Typically, this includes activities like (partial list): Market analysis, consumer research, creating commercial training kits, internal product catalogs, product packaging and product communication materials. You will experience the product and marketing development cycle in a fun and professional international team environment.

Your responsibilities

Support the Floor Care new business development Team: Robotics and Rechargeable sticks in the creation of product and portfolio & communication materials. You will also contribute with market analysis and other activities related to the proposition development cycle.

Main activities/tasks;

·  Develop training kits with external agency
·  Track competitors communication activities
·  Support the preparation of internal and external product presentation events
·  Develop content for online and offline product communication.

Goal of this Internship:

You get acquainted with the ways of working of a corporation such as Philips, get acquainted with the product development cycle including the preparation of materials to support product introductions and receive coaching for personal development.

For the Floor Care team: get extra hands and brains to create and deliver on-time, best-in-class propositions and communication materials that support our product introductions.

Your team

You will become part of the Consumer Marketing Managers Team in the Philips, located at the Headquarters in Amsterdam.

In your role you will interact with many disciplines & experts along the full value chain, for example; sales teams from the different countries, design, innovation, supply and communication and market intelligence/research.

Our offer

·  This internship assignment is a non-thesis assignment
·  Duration: 6 months. Our preference will be towards students which will be able to attend for the duration of 12 months
·  We prefer students able to start as soon as possible, no later than July/August 2017

Internship conditions:

·  Students on work placement or final-year study assignment are paid a work placement or final-year study assignment allowance.
·  A student on a work placement or final-year study assignment is paid an allowance towards rented accommodation, depending on his/her situation. This will be determined setting up the Intern Contract.
·  A student on work placement or final-year study assignment who can prove that he/she is not entitled to a student card for public transport (OV-studentenkaart) is paid an allowance to cover the cost of travel between home and the place of work in accordance with the Conditions of Employment Guideline.
·  The student is entitled to paid leave on the basis of 1 day per month.
·  Opportunity to buy Philips products with tax benefit (Philips MyShop)

To be successful in this internship we are looking for you:

·  Currently studying towards your University Master of science WO (Msc.) in:
·  Business Administration
·  (International) Business Management
·  Marketing & Communications
·  Management Sciences
·  Project Management

·  Fluent in oral and written English
·  Strong communication skills
·  Interest in Proposition Development
·  Can do mentality, eager to learn, structured, team player
·  Analytics and able to switch from seeing the big picture to focus on details
·  Entrepreneurial mindset
