PETZL has been traditionally focused on international business. Today, Asia represents a strategic area of growth. As a consequence, PETZL needs to build strong and sustainable capabilities in this key market and is looking to recruit for a 2-year VIE mission
THE ORGANISATION:
The Export Sales Representative will be based in SHANGHAI working for PETZL branch office in Singapore: PETZL ASIA Pte Ltd.
He will directly report to the Regional Sales Manager for Asia office in Singapore.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
In charge of selected countries in Asia but with specific focus on China, the Export Sales Representative’s role includes:
- Channel sales management: Build relations with PETZL network of distributors & dealers in Asia and provide them with an effective support (technical, sales and marketing support). Follow up with their sales and activities. Help them organize better and align with PETZL strategy, image and pricing policy. Challenge them to increase sales and engage in more marketing & business development activities. Initiate and participate with them in customers’ visits, events, workshops and other marketing actions.
- Business development: Identify new business opportunities. Build a database of contacts.
Organize presentations & meetings with potential customers.
- Marketing & communication: Develop the PETZL brand in Asia through marketing and networking initiatives. Participate and manage events/technical workshops/communication campaigns.
Initiate projects to develop marketing & communication tools adapted to the local markets.
Develop collaboration with other companies and brands to optimize exposure & expenses.
Help our dealers & distributors to expand their use of social media.
- Business Alignment: Ensure accurate communication and reporting of business planning activities to the Regional Sales Manager or/and to the Headquarters in France
- Support & reporting : Provide support to the Regional Sales Manager in his mission and regulary report about your activity, business situation, achievements and challenges.
YOUR PROFILE:
- Master’s degree in Business
- 2 years working experience minimun in marketing & customers relationship management
- Ideally with a good understanding/experience of the outdoor sales business
- Experienced in climbing and/or mountaineering activities
- Knowledge/experience of the work-at-height and personal protective equipment (PPE)industry would be an advantage
- International mindset and strong footprint in Asia
- An autonomous, creative and entrepreneurial sales professional
- Strong networking and communication skills
- Trustworthy, rigorous and long-term mindset
- Fluent in English, proficiency in French and in Chinese.
- As a requirement for the VIE mission, the candidate should be a EU country national
