about the role

The person will provide the expertise and guidance required for a successful integration of new business requests to the existing pricing and availability platforms. The main focus of a Business Analyst is to provide comprehensive and structured information to the development team, to communicate with all stakeholders, to be responsible for the overview and testing of assigned tasks and to provide internal support for the assigned tasks to all participants during and after the integration cycles.

Previous experience with development and databases is welcomed as well as knowledge of Pricing and Finance processes. The candidate will become an important part of an agile team. He/She will have to acquire strong knowledge of the applications to be able to support all participants with analytical insight.

Under the supervision of a manager, the person will provide support and expertise on the development of pricing tools (Abacus, Pricing Portal) and associated systems. The delegated tasks include creation of development and process specifications, creation of test plans and cases, communication with all stakeholders, supervision and testing of the development outputs, participation on estimates and deadlines arrangements.

Business skills
- Analytical thinking
- Experience with document management tools
- Excellent communication skills
- Advanced English, written & spoken
- Basic knowledge of UML (Unified Modeling Language)
- Nice to have: knowledge of Pricing and Finance processes

Technical skills:
- Experience with Team Foundation Server or a similar platform (Jira, Confluence, GIT, SVN…)
- Understanding of relation-database design and functionality (Microsoft SQL Server)
- Understanding of web applications concepts
- Basic knowledge of C# or Java or other object oriented language
- Basic knowledge of SOA (Service Oriented) architecture

Pricing Portal and Abacus are internal Orange Business Services tools that provide, in an automated way, a quotation for the products & service sold by Orange Business Services to customers.
The position is based in Bratislava / Slovakia.

Base salary from 1,380 € brutto per month (upon agreement)  + variable part  and other benefits. Actual salary is likely to be higher based on skills, knowledge and experience.
