Qualifications :

Oracle Labs, the research laboratory of Oracle, employs about 200 of the best and brightest computer scientists and engineers, who study and create the latest technologies in hardware and software. Oracle Labs has offices in Silicon Valley and in the Boston area.

The Systems Research Group in our Redwood Shores office in Silicon Valley seeks highly motivated contributors working toward B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. degrees to join us for an internship. They will join a world-renowned group of talented engineers who are designing, analyzing and verifying hardware and software used by Oracle's business units.

You will have a strong foundation in formal verification, algorithms, the ACL2 theorem prover, and fluency in many programming languages. Hands-on experience in writing specifications for and deriving proofs about assembly programs is a plus.

You must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, which are critical for both your and the team's success. Also essential are your experience in research and your ability to tackle problems that have a large degree of uncertainty.
