DevOps Engineer within Oracle Labs Casablanca

Oracle Labs is the advanced R&D branch of Oracle; at the Labs, our mission is to identify, explore, and transfer new technologies that have the potential to substantially improve Oracle's business.

Oracle Database Multilingual Engine (MLE) is an ongoing project within Oracle Labs. MLE is an experimental feature for the Oracle Database 12c that enables developers to work efficiently with DB-resident data in modern programming languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python) and development environments of their choice.

Opportunity

Within MLE, we have an open position for an automation and release engineer. The candidate will be responsible for managing the development, testing, and benchmarking infrastructure for the MLE team. Job responsibilities include maintaining the team's continuous integration infrastructure, as well as automating and optimizing functional tests and performance benchmarks. The candidate will also be responsible for periodic product releases in the form of Docker and/or VirtualBox images.

Candidate Profile

We are seeking a candidate with the following profile:

» Good knowledge of continuous integration frameworks, e.g., Jenkins.

» Comfortable working with/ knowledge/ experience virtualization and containerization technologies, e.g., Docker or VirtualBox.

» Comfortable working on and administrating Linux systems.

» Comfortable working with various platform- and language-specific package management systems, including yum, apt, pip and npm.
