Provides direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology/application to client business. Facilitation of customer product/application understanding through presentations demonstrations and benchmarks; provision of support throughout the sell.

As a Principal Sales Consultant you will be responsible as the expert for formulating and leading presales technical / functional support activity to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction. Acts as a technical resource and mentor for less experienced Sales Consultants. Focuses on large or complex sales opportunities that need creative and complex solutions. Develops productivity tools and training for other Sales Consultants. Develops and delivers outstanding Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Leads any and all aspects of the technical sales process. Advises internal and external clients on overall architect solutions.

Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 3 years vendor (sales and marketing) experience. 7 years business experience with relevant computer applications or database/tools. Ability to implement the most advanced product features. Thorough knowledge of system and application design. In depth knowledge of competitors. Demonstrated project management skills. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Ability to persuade others through presentations, demonstrations, and written communication. Ability to travel as needed. A/BS degree or equivalent, advanced degree highly desirable.

Solution Consultant for Oracle's Cloud Customer Experience (CX) Solutions

A vacancy exists for a senior solution consultant for Oracle's cloud customer experience applications

This role is to support the Oracle sales team in winning major CX Cloud business from both new name and existing customers. To be successful in this role, the candidate must be able to establish strong, credible relationships with senior stakeholders up to ‘C' level in the prospective accounts, and be able to effectively communicate the value of the Oracle CX propositions to those customers. This role would suit a candidate who has mainly client-side experience and is now seeking a career move to a vendor.

Therefore we are looking for candidates with the following profile;

• Relevant industry experience

• Ideally, the candidate has had involvement in CX-led digital transformation; likely roles include senior positions in Customer Experience, Customer Acquisition, Customer Care and Digital Strategy.

• Strong communicator; Candidate must be confident in developing and presenting business propositions around Customer Experience, relevant to senior business stakeholders in a customer.

• Solution skills; the candidate needs to be able to show the ability that they are capable of designing technical solutions based around Oracle's CX solution suite that are convincing and compelling in addressing the prospect's business issues.

• Leadership and team co-ordination skills. Although the role is as an individual contributor, there are many wider resources within Oracle need co-ordinating and leading as part of the sales team, the candidate must show experience and ability to do this.

About the role

The role will be working with top 100 customers to shape their strategic change agenda and future direction. The solution consultant is expected to be able to work as part of larger sales team working to win new CX cloud business in an account. The SC role typically involves taking ownership of the proposed CX solution, making sure it is fit for purpose, addresses the client's needs, effectively brings to life the key benefits and shows innovation to the Client's business opportunities.

Although the development of such solutions is done by a wider team the Solution Consultant is expected to be able to effectively position and demonstrate it back to the customer.

Key responsibilities will include;

• Early discovery and engagement with prospective clients to uncover key needs

• Demonstrating innovation and thought-leadership around digital CX transformation

• Cloud CX Solution design

• Creation and articulation of the business value linked to proposed solutions

• Delivering high quality Oracle presentations and demonstrations.

• Creation and articulation of the business value linked to proposed solutions

• Leadership of other resources

• Responding through written proposals
