Curriculum Product Manager: PaaS

Job description

Develops courseware to support new and existing products, often though not exclusively in conjunction with Product Division.

Coordinate and evaluate development contributions from other courseware development team members. Develop certification questions for use in the Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) exams. Solicit and incorporate feedback from reviews and training events. Deliver training at train-the-trainer and pilot events.

Job duties are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. May have project lead role. Bachelor*s Degree in Computer Science or Instructional Design. Four years adult education experience (as teacher or curriculum developer). Seven years technical or professional experience using Oracle products or related software. Strong SQL and PL/SQL knowledge and experience. Knowledge of XML, Java, and J2EE technologies. Experience with Oracle9i Database administration. Knowledge of Oracle9i Application server.

PRIMARY FOCUS

The Curriculum Product Manager is responsible for managing the successful design, development, testing and rollout of all education products for PaaS/Platform as a Service . This is a global role and will involve managing relationships with the Content/Curriculum Development, Grid Services, Product Development, Sales, Marketing and the Global Delivery organizations.

EXAMPLE DUTIES

·  Responsible for timely delivery of high quality training courses
·  Work with Global stake holders (Curriculum, Grid Services, Product Development, Regional Delivery) for successful rollout of courses and manage the course development life cycle described below:
·  Design > Development > Review > Testing > Rollout > Monitor performance and quality of PaaS courses
·  Ensure high quality courses by performing thorough technical reviews and validation testing of course content
·  Collect, consolidate and report quarterly statistics regarding PaaS course performance
·  Manage course rollout communications
·  Work with Curriculum Development and the Marketing teams to develop product messaging and deliver Web casts and Seminars
·  Review course accuracy across all internal systems.
·  Single point of contact for the filed for any questions related to the tracks/courses managed
·  Being aware of the new Cloud Services being released in your area; the latest version; key features, and when is the next version scheduled for release.

QUALIFICATIONS
