An experienced consulting professional who has an understanding of solutions, industry best practices, multiple business processes or technology designs within a product/technology family. Operates independently to provide quality work products to an engagement. Performs varied and complex duties and tasks that need independent judgment, in order to implement Oracle products and technology to meet customer needs. Applies Oracle methodology, company procedures, and leading practices.

May act as the team lead on projects. Effectively consults with management of customer organizations. Participates in business development activities. Develops and configures detailed solutions for moderately complex projects.

5-7 years of experience relevant to this position including 2 years consulting experience preferred. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience. Product or technical expertise relevant to practice focus. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to build rapport with team members and clients. Ability to travel as needed.

Job Function: Utilities Global Business Unit

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for executing and planning operational tasks as part of Oracle's lifecycle managed services project in Paris, France.

The operations engineer interacts with offshore and onshore operations centres, technical infrastructure consultants, functional teams and reporting teams.

Essential Job Functions:

·  Fluent French (written and spoken).
·  Analytical and results oriented. A doer.
·  Monitoring of environments using provided tools and operating system tools
·  Executing of Tivoli and CC&B batches
·  Ticket management. Creation, analysis and execution of corrective action of tickets
·  Execution of technical changes in production
·  Installation of releases
·  Execute environment maintenance activities such as backups
·  Support special operations / campaigns by working weekends and holidays when required
·  Be part of an on-call shift roster for 24x7 support and monitoring every 3 days
·  Attend and lead as required the following meetings:
·  Oracle internal team daily stand-up
·  Oracle internal weekly meetings for status and/or progress of any major Ops activity
·  Oracle onshore-offshore operations meeting (2 each week)

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be a skilled technical operations engineer or technical consultant with experience on project or managed services engagements, preferably with experience in Oracle or Utilities products.

The ideal candidate will:

·  Have a technical background and be able to demonstrate some level understanding of J2EE applications, BI, Database and other related Oracle technology
·  Have experience on IT implementations, managed services or maintenance services as an operations engineer
·  Have experience working on multi-cultural environment
·  Possess excellent analytical, communication skills
·  Be results oriented
·  Have awareness of Oracle Utilities Applications and other Oracle related technology
·  Fluent communication (written and spoken) in French with good presentation skills
·  Experience with Tivoli workload scheduler
·  Experience with AIX and Linux Operating systems administration
·  While the primary role is based in Paris, France, there is a possibility for an assignments to any destination in the EMEA region afterwards. Ability to travel on a weekly basis may be required.
