Job description

Analyze, design develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for commercial or end user applications. Writes code, completes programming and performs testing and debugging of applications.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will perform high-level design based on provided external specifications. Specify, design and implement minor changes to existing software architecture. Build highly complex enhancements and resolve complex bugs. Build and execute unit tests and unit plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering as necessary to discuss minor changes to product functionality and to ensure quality and consistency across specific products.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.

As a business intelligence engineer you will be working on developing creative and complex solutions for Oracle's most important, ever-growing Cloud business. The Business Intelligence Engineer preferably should have good knowledge and experience with BI/Warehousing applications development and implementation in a large corporate IT setting.

Must have knowledge and experience with one or more of the following technologies: OBIEE, ODI, Informatica, Oracle Database 11G/12C, PL/SQL, SQL.

Experience with one or more of the following domains: Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), financials, order management, customer relationship management is preferable.

Experience working directly with business stakeholders on enhancements and issues.

Excellent written and oral communication skills. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to prioritize and multi-task.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelors of computer science, engineering or related field from premier institutes.

• Excellent communication (verbal, all forms of written), influencing, teamwork and collaboration skills

• Solid experience in data warehouse application development, engineering, production support

• 1-4 years of experience in building data warehouse applications.

• Experience with SQL*PLUS, PL/SQL, Oracle RDBMS, ODI, OBIEE, APEX, MS Excel

• Experience in implementing Oracle prebuilt DW solutions (BIAPPS)

• Experience with Oracle CRM, ERP, or SCM applications. Experience with Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) area is preferred.
