Novartis is actively seeking a Software Asset Management Analyst to join our team in Fort Worth, Texas.

The Software Asset Management Analyst will handle the operational day-to-day Software Asset Management tasks. Run and analyze Software Compliance Reports, trigger remediating actions. Provide answers to business related SAM questions, questions raised by different service providers (Software Request Management team, SW Packaging Team etc.) and internal teams (e.g. End User Experience Team). Support Head/Deputy Head, Software Asset Management in regards to ad-hoc requests.

•Run and analyze Software Compliance & Consumption Reports, trigger remediation actions (de-installs, purchases). •Review all new SW Package requests and update license information, cost, etc. in REALM, Self-Service-Portal and SmartTrack. •Record selected Proof of Purchase license information in SmartTrack. •Support Software-Request-Service Team by answering questions and performing admin duties in Self Service Portal when required. •Operational handling of SW purchases (PO creation) for centrally managed SW. •Process and respond to any SW-Turntable requests that are received in the SAM related eMail in-boxes. Track all orders to completion. •Support M&A related SAM activities e.g. such as entitlement data and contract collection, analysis and reporting, provide advice to internal customers. •Collect and consolidate demand, provide data to sourcing for contract negotiations for selected vendors. •Analyze installation data to determine candidates for reclamation campaigns ensure optimal deployment of licenses, avoid SW waste. •Take over selected tasks during vendor audits under the guidance of the Head/Deputy of Software Asset Management. •Provide assistance to all team members within SLM, Data/Docs and EUF/Portfolio Management. •Support BSM community in regards to information requests. •Update information in tools/systems that support the Software Licensing processes such as SmartTrack, Self Service Portal, REALM and SRM. •Participate in review meetings / presentations •Assumes responsibility for consolidating data from multiple sources. •Assumes responsibility for producing trends and providing feedback on the trends such as whether the trends are positive or negative what their impact is likely to be, and if they are predictable for the future.

Desired profile

Minimum requirements

•Essential: Bachelor’s degree or comparable education/experience •Desirable: CSAM (Certified Software Asset Manager) certification •Excellent written and verbal communication skills. •Fluency (oral and written) in English, any additional language is a plus. •Extensive experience and excellent professional skills in the area of Software Licensing and Compliance and related administrative tasks. •Experience with working in a global organization.
