Infiniti Finance Controlling Trainee
Mission and Main Objectives
Reporting to INFINITI WEU Finance Controlling Section Manager (CMP-I), the Finance
Controlling Trainee (VME) is responsible to accurately and actively manage the variable expenses behind the new car sales. The person will work on the Incentives Management System and with the Corporate Sales team to control the variable expenses associated with the new car sales from all WEU markets.
The Finance Controlling function is divided into 4 main roles: Accounting, Compliance, Financial Analysis, Budgeting and Forecasting. The Trainee is expected to simultaneously play these distinct roles on a daily basis.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities
Accounting tasks:
· Ensure that all IMS transactions are properly recorded, reconciled, analysed and reported.
· Manage VME (Incentives) calculation and booking system (IMS).
· Manage incentives claims and update the system with the correct amounts.
· Ensure that all variable expenses are taken on accounts payable (accrual).
· Ensure that accounts payable are paid in a timely manner.
· Ensure that periodic reconciliations are completed.
Compliance tasks:
· Maintain control over accounting transactions related to VME.
· Ensure operations' compliance with revenue and expense recognition policies.
· Ensure periodic training on incentives management system is done to dealers.
Financial analysis tasks:
· Contribute to month end closing activities related to VME.
· Produce periodic management reports.
· Profit analysis by market, product model, and sales channel.
· Variance analysis.
· Explain the business performance in numbers.
Budgeting and forecasting tasks:
· Provide insight and robust challenge to support decision-making.
Additional Tasks and responsibilities (include team management, if any)
· Close collaboration with dealers, functions, regions and A&F teams from different entities.
· Involvement in ad-hoc projects and process enhancement initiatives.

Background & Experience
· Solid knowledge of accounting and finance principles.
· Strong numerical and analytical skills, problem solving skills and critical thinking.
· Strong sense of ownership, works independently and takes initiatives.
Minimum Education Required
University degree
Specific Technical Skills
· Strong knowledge of MS Office tools, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
· Knowledge of SAP FICO is a plus.
