Job description
As a Cycle Counter you'll be responsible for a working independently on a wide range of inventory control activities, including planning, scheduling, conducting, reporting, and analyzing cycle counts; supporting the organization as an expert on processes throughout the facility, particularly related to issue resolution and effective inventory control; and providing positive, professional feedback and other communication in support of continuous process improvement.
Execute the Cycle Count program:
· Plan, prioritize, coordinate, and schedule cycle counts in order to meet cycle count plans
· Conduct first counts and recounts
· Correct inventory discrepancies
· Document observations
· Analyze cycle count results, identify root causes, provide feedback, and prepare reports
· Use material handling equipment safely
Maintain a safe, clean work environment.
General inventory control: Investigate, research, and resolve inventory issues; monitor exception and error handler reports, correct errors, and document root causes.
Systems: Thoroughly utilize systems (XpDS, SAP, desktop software, etc) and forklift equipment (reach truck/cherry picker-required) to ensure inventory integrity and customer order fulfillment. Recent (within 6 months) forklift experience required.
Desired profile
Requirements for this position:
· Minimum 6 months experience working in an automated distribution operation as a material handler or comparable skills.
· Preferred leadership experience.
· High school diploma or GED required; college degree a plus.
· Computer skills and warehouse equipment (reach truck/cherry-order picker) driving experience required
· Planning, scheduling, coordination, and analysis of activities
· Must be able to work in a team environment on any shift; ability to read and write basic English, count accurately and perform simple math;
· Must be able to lift 35-50 lbs continuously
· Able to work overtime as needed
