Have you always wanted to deal with (live) sports during your work days? Now you can! In this role you will help organize and execute our large daily operation to provide (live) data for around 900 leagues and competitions, most of which are football, which we collect for mainly media clients. Together with the rest of the full time Live Data Production team you are responsible for a team of 120 part time operators: mostly students that take on live scoring of matches during their evenings and weekends. You will also work closely together with teams in Canada and India.

What does your work week look like?

·  During a typical week you’ll often have two “shift leader” shifts. During these shifts you are responsible for a part of the live scoring that happens during that day. This includes daytime and evening shifts, including working weekends.
·  You assist in short and long term planning of our part-time live scorers.
·  You are involved in coaching and training our live scoring staff. Based on quality reports and evaluations you take action to get the best out of the people that do our live scoring, and by that, making our live scoring better.
·  You will be involved in scheduling and long-term resource and time planning for our part-time staff.
·  You take part in what we call 'League Management”. This concerns keeping match schedules up to date, and process information on players and transfers, and the squads of teams. You will do this in cooperation with the Live Data Production team in India.
·  You will be assigned projects. This could be focussing on a particular (live scoring) process and see what can be done to improve that process. Or you are involved in organizing “new” live scoring, such as covering a league of sport on a more detailed level than before in Nieuwegein or one of the other Gracenote locations around the world.
·  This is a job where no day is like the other. A combination of working with data and people in an international environment, dealing with live sports!

What do we expect from you?

·  Exceptional knowledge and passion for sports. While your main focus will be football (soccer), you must also deal with other team sports popular in Europe, such as Rugby, Handball and Ice Hockey.
·  You are able to make yourself heard in Dutch AND English.
·  Excellent computing and keyboarding skills. While you will become an expert in our specialized data entry applications, we do expect the basics to be in good shape. Good knowledge of Excel is a bonus.
·  You love to work with puzzles and to organize. Any last-minute changes in the day’s schedule can turn your smooth running evening shift into a logistical challenge.
·  Working with live sports means working weekends and evenings. Unless dealing with special events (such as the Olympics), our evening shifts run until midnight.
·  Preferably you live (near) Nieuwegein or Utrecht. If that isn’t the case, it’s vital you are able to get to get home by public transport or your own means when working until midnight.
·  We would love to have you by October 1st.
·  You have a college-level bachelor’s degree (Dutch: HBO)
