Chargé de projet lean management

Context

Nexans has developed systems and tools to implement Lean management (NEW) within Nexans Operations. The target is to support the deployment of this program in the North America region in plants, logistics centers and offices.

Purpose

· This position is to support factories and support functions in process and product developments using NEW tools, processes and policy by coaching, developing and challenging people so they drive continuously sustainable improvement.

Areas of responsibility

· Structure a NEW deployment strategy with selected/assigned Units in line with Nexans Policy.
· Coach all key stakeholders(Local Champion, Practitioners, Operational team,…) on NEW tools and processes.
· Organize and conduct training sessions and leverage group training materials.
· Ensure follow up and reporting based on Group guidelines to monitor deployment progress and savings
· Lead NEW benchmark between units, leverage projects and identify key success factors.
· Ensure alignment with NEW Corporate Team and Regional organization.
· Manage information and communication on NEW within the units in charge.

Expected results

· Annual NEW roadmap per unit in charge
· NEW level Improvement per year per unit in charge
· Impact to Each unit improvement plan (quality, costs savings, customer service, flow, ...)
· Trained and coached people according to needs

Position sizing

· Manages functionally local NEW Champions of each unit

Required skills and qualifications

· Engineer or Management degree from international level school
· Extensive experience in successfully applying lean principles and leading change in an industrial environment across multiple business processes
· Strong analytical and problem solving skills
· Capacity to adapt his/her level of communication to his/her audience. Excellent communication skills / Fluent English required (written, spoken)
· Ability to work in a matrix organisation
· Ability to teach, coach and lead transformation
· Lean management advanced knowledge
· Cross cultural awareness
