The Subsea & Land System (SLS) business group is responsible for the engineering, supply and installation of HV submarine and land cable systems.
The Norwegian unit is the center of expertise for the HV submarine cable systems, and has the worldwide responsibility for Sales and Execution of Projects, either in supply only, or in turnkey, including installation, protection and commissioning of the HV submarine cable systems.
The HV submarine cable business is currently in an expansion phase where major projects are under development in all business segments (Grid connections, Offshore Wind, Oil & Gas).
To support our client and improve our market position, Nexans has initiated some trasnformation in the project procurement department, hence the need to have some junior support in all the Purchasing tasks done for the projects.
As VIE, you will be integrated in the Project Purchasing Department, in order to first assist the Project Procurement Managers in STSC, then perform yourself the procurement in the projects.
Based on performance, the mission could be extended to more complex purchases relevant to Energy and Umbilicals projects .
- Responsible for the establishment and close follow up of Project Procurement plan if needed
- Planning, follow-up and execution of purchasing as defined in the Procurement Plan and the Project Model
- Ensure high quality and efficient project execution by close follow up of suppliers, contracts and deliveries
- Negotiate and enter into the most appropriate agreements,
- Report savings and losses generated by items in the procurement plan and inform on time to the Project Manager
- Initiate and Ensure that suppliers are approved, and that all necessary information is registered in supplier database;
- Ensure that purchasing is done within the project budget and time frame allocated
- Ensure high quality and efficient project execution by close follow up of internal stakeholders, suppliers, contracts and deliveries
- Be an active and visible contributor in the project to satisfy internal and external customers
Your profile:
- Bachelor degree or higher degree
- Knowledge of Excel is mandatory
- Knowledge of SAP is highly preferable
- Experience in Procurement / supply Chain / purchasing activities is an advantage
- BI & Ariba Knowledge is an advantage
- Ability to communicate and search for information
- Appetite to negotiate with suppliers
- Perfectly fluent in English
