Team Leader: Goods Receiving
Bellville DC

The key deliverable of this role is to manage designated teams within the Distribution Centre environment in a culture of accelerated performance ensuring that it excels in compliance and contributing towards the achievement of KPI's.

Key Responsibilities:
· Control, maintain and ensure accuracy of master data by ensuring on time receiving of returned stock, ensuring that credit notes are captured correctly and the salvage procedure is adhered to, ensuring effective dealing with customer queries and complaints, ensuring the timeous completion of credits, staff shop orders, and donation orders, ensuring credits above R5000 are released and authorized daily and UAS's from R3000 are authorized and released daily, ensuring efficient utilization of staff and equipment to optimally handle receipt of stock and sorting between 1st grades and 2nd grades stock and assisting in discontinuation of materials and ensuring efficient use of GRA Capacity
· Maintain budget and control variances by preparing budget, maintaining budgetary controls, reporting and taking action on variances, preparing area of responsibility and participating in monthly stock takes, ensuring effective application of stock rotation system (F.I.F.O.), ensuring the implementation and compliance with standard operating procedures and systems, compilation of monthly, weekly and daily reports (KPI & Productivity), Liaising with CCPA and CQA to get authorization for donation request form and communicate with an authorized donation company to collect: management of staff resources and management of Kronos hours, annual leave, absenteeism, updating KPI's/DOR/WOR/MOR boards and presenting productivity statistics as well as responding to questions related to information on the charts, ensure compliance by doing internal audits as per schedule and managing GRA vehicles in terms of turnaround times.
· Manage safety and health by ensuring that safety regulations and legislation are adhered to, investigating and reporting all accidents, ensuring compliance to driven machinery requirements and ensuring implementation and compliance with quality control systems and procedures
· Manage talent and succession by conducting IDP's, PE/PDG and driving performance management, maintaining discipline and taking corrective action where necessary and select, retain, develop and lead the right people
· Assist LEAN Value Stream Design by embracing and implementing a structured approach towards all the elements of NCE thereby ensuring that a continuous improvement culture is developed and sustained

Key Requirements:
· Minimum 3-5 years experience in the Distribution environment
· Minimum required qualification is NQF 6/ Production Diploma or equivalent and relevant operational experience at market/business level in the following areas is beneficial:
· Formal Knowledge of distribution end to end process
· Stock control, SHE, Quality
· SAP experience
· Employee Relations experience
