SHE & Security Coordinator
Bellville

The key output of this role is to support & advise the Distribution centre Management team in all aspects of Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) with a strong focus on implementing Market-level initiatives, including developing & driving site initiatives leading to continuous improvement in SHE performance in line with the Nestlé Continuous Excellence mindset of zero accidents and incidents; and compliance to Nestlé and relevant legal requirements.

Key Result Areas:

· Co-ordinate the implementation of a Security and SHE Strategy & program for the Distribution Centre complying with Nestle policies and standards. Achieve Security and SHE objectives considering the Market and Corporate objectives. Monitor and communicate on performance to improve decision making regarding Security and SHE and to integrate same into the business.
· Implement, control, maintain and improve DC Security and SHE management systems, inlcuding achieving and maintaining ISO14001 & OHSAS18001 certification and support this through implementing specific plans, tools and initiatives
· Manage the DC risk assessment process for Security and SHE and identify, assess and establish the mitigating actions or contingency plans for all identified risks
· Ensure that Security and SHE incident investigations are conducted, the root causes are identified, and the follow-up actions are completed and advise the preventive and corrective measures across Physical Logistics to share learning
· Report and analyse the monthly and annual DC Security and SHE statistics and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and update on SHE PM
· Effective management of all contractors entering the site to ensure compliance to SHE requirements at all times
· Provide coaching and support to the DC Management Team in order to achieve the DC's SHE Objectives and Targets through the implementation of behaviour based safety and safety leadership programmes
· Identify the SHE training needs for the DC and develop a training matrix and ensure that the training is completed. Organize continuous SHE education and training programs for management and employees.

Key Requirements:

· Five (5) years experience industrial SHE management
· At least 3 years experience in security management in the FMCG industry
· BTech in Safety or Environmental Management or Engineering
· A qualification in Security Management/ Risk Management or related qualification.
· 3+ years in the gathering of evidence and the investigation of crime
· Experience in security risk assessments and mitigation
· NEBOSH (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health) International General
· Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety
· SAMTRAC (Safety and Management Training Course) – Integrated SHE System.
