POSITION SUMMARY

The Nespresso story began with a simple but revolutionary idea: enable anyone to create the perfect cup of espresso coffee.

Since 1986, Nespresso has redefined and revolutionized the way millions of people enjoy their espresso coffee.

As part of the newly created Nespresso Supply Chain Service Center in Lisbon, we are looking for a full time Demand Planner . This professional will have as main mission to develop, maintain and improve a Demand Plan for a portfolio of products, which represents the most realistic estimate of customer demand in alignment with internal and external stakeholders. Exceptions and performance need to be monitored at market and central levels as part of a continuous improvement process so as to enable the company to respond rapidly to changing circumstances.

A DAY IN THE LIFE …

· Ensure commitment from all internal functions, build and maintain good collaboration both within Supply Chain and with Headquarters' Commercial, Marketing and Finance, in line with the Nestlé Monthly Business Planning (MBP) best practices;
· Ensure that inputs from Marketing and Sales, consumer and competitor information, external/internal trends which impact demand are captured on the 18 month rolling forecasts submitted by the Nespresso markets worldwide;
· Collect from the Consumer Insight, Marketing and Commercial teams information regarding product launches, portfolio optimization, rationale of commercial decisions (e.g. price changes), promotions and customer behavior;
· Ensure successful product launches and phase-outs by liaising with the Nespresso markets and Headquarter;
· Consolidate market forecasts by building a realistic 18 month demand plan for a range of Nespresso products, in line with Dynamic Forecast targets;
· Challenge markets from a forecast accuracy point of view and ensure that corrective actions are implemented so as to minimize business impact;
· Share and publish the consolidated forecasts through systematic reporting, ad-hoc reports and communication, ensuring that Demand Plan information is available to all internal stakeholders;
· Support the MBP meetings by providing relevant information to internal stakeholders;
· Assist markets with problem solving initiatives to reach their performance targets;


ARE YOU A FIT?

· University degree, preferably in Engineering, Mathematics or Statistics;
· At least 3 years of experience in Demand Planning;
· Experience in Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain Development or Supply Planning is a plus;
· Strong understanding on how Demand Planning processes drive Operations;
· Eye for details and able to balance priorities;
· Ability to think “outside of the box” and challenge the status quo;
· Strong analytical, communication and influencing skills;
· Team player;
· Proactivity and Problem Solving Mindset;
· Conflict management;
· Fluent in English.
