We are helping our customers and partners transition their software development efforts to this paradigm leveraging an advanced set of agile Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) and DevOps tools. As a result, our customers and partners can achieve increased agility and accelerate their business goals.

If you are passionate about software development, Azure, ALM, DevOps and helping customers and partners exceed their goals, a Solution Sales Professional (SSP) position in DX could be a perfect fit for you. The specific requirements for our open SSP position are as follows:

ALM / DevOps / Software Development Knowledge / Azure:

•Understanding of the Microsoft ALM (Application Lifecycle Management) and DevOps Solution, including Visual Studio, Team Foundation Server, and Visual Studio Team Services or similar offerings from other vendors

•Broad understanding of the ALM / DevOps marketplace, including Microsoft’s competitors and partners

•Comprehensive knowledge of “Modern Application Lifecycle” topics, including requirements management, testing, code construction, build and deployment, and source code management

•Broad knowledge of modern application development processes, including Agile and Scrum, and well as more traditional application processes such as CMMI and Waterfall

•Broad understanding of Cloud Computing, including IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS

•Understanding of Microsoft Azure services and workloads, including Azure for Development & Test and Azure for DevOps or similar offerings from other vendors

Sales:

•Proven success as a frontline seller, including Solutions Sales, Technical Pre-Sales, or an Account Executive

•Strong analytical, presentation, and communication skills

•Comprehensive understanding of solution sales concepts, including diagnosing pain, creating a buying vision, securing sponsorship, developing evaluation plans, etc.

•Closing business by reinforcing the business value of solutions, including TCO and ROI, and acting as an interface between customers and Partners/Services

•Developing strong teaming relationships with customers and other members of the Microsoft account team (Technical Specialists, Partners, Account Management, Product Specialists, Licensing and Consulting Services) and leveraging Marketing with measures in place to track total cost of sale and velocity

•Some experience with CRM systems, forecasting, and territory management
