Service Engineer

Job description

Beam is one of the fastest growing live-video platforms for gamers. We serve an increasing number of stream views each month, and our web frontend is in the critical path for over 70% of those views!   As a member of our operations team, you’ll work with our small team of passionate engineers and product teams to shape the next generation in interactive live-streaming, pioneering advances in video delivery and experience, maintaining platform availability, and ultimately driving the experience forward.    

Qualifications:          

 

• 1+ years of professional experience managing Linux systems and common services in highly available environments              

• Ability to work independently and make suggestions to improve the platform’s infrastructure            

• Good communication skills to accurately describe difficult problems and ability to work in a team to resolve them  

Additional desired skills & experience:    

         

• Solution-oriented thinking              

• Understanding of video technologies (RTMP, HLS)              

• Experience with WebRTC (including ICE, STUN, TURN)
