Mission:
The Project Manager / Analyst works in Global Commercial Development (GCD), the marketing and
business group responsible for the global Ruminant and Equine business strategy, sales, business
operating income / BOI, new product requirements, product launches, brand stewardship, and life
cycle management.
BACKGROUND:
The Ruminant and Equine global business has sales in North America, Latin America, Oceania,
Europe, plus a smaller business footprint in Middle-East/Africa and Asia. The Merial GCD Team
Based in the Atlanta area (Duluth, Georgia USA) is the central global team for the global business
unit working with colleagues based in France, Brazil, Australia, Singapore and other countries.
TASKS:
- Consolidate global sales projections (for 10 years) for the annual Strategic Plan
- Consolidate sales, volume and price projections for new products from Country/Regional marketing to support Finance in the creation of NPVs (net present value) and project ROI.
- Support team preparation for the global Portfolio Management Committee review 2x per year.
Report quarterly progress for the Product Portfolio Optimization program with Industrial Operations to reduce Cost of Goods Sold and increase Product Gross Margin.
- Update monthly/quarterly sales and market share dashboards for key global brands.
- Update dashboard to measure timeline progress on R&D projects / new product launches.
- Update dashboards for tracking/analysis of Market Research and Business Intelligence
- Utilize Merial’s project management system and track monthly progress for selected projects
with Industrial Operations (specifically LongRange, Eprinex and Equine Paste project)
ACCOUNTABILITY:
Understanding of marketing processes, project management, basic business finance.
Ability to consolidate data, conduct analysis and deliver business insights.
Strong interpersonal skills to work in cross-functional and global / remote teams.
Excellent editing, written/oral communication skills, telephone/email skills.
Liaise with colleagues and project teams worldwide in multiple time zones.
Effectively work with diverse people from different countries and cultural backgrounds.
Flexibility and adaptability during a period of organizational change and evolution.
Profile:
Education:
Degree in the field of project management is ideal.
Study in the field of marketing, business and finance is a benefit.
Study in the field of life sciences, biology, animal sciences is a benefit.
Experience:
Strong experience in Microsoft Excel required.
Experience in PowerPoint and MS Word required.
Leadership skills and 1-3 years of work experience are required.
Fluency in English. (global project team meetings conducted in English)
Experience in the field of animal health or human health is ideal.
Professional skills / attitude and behaviour requested:
Communication skills (written and verbal presentations) are very important
Evidence of project team collaboration, leadership and innovation
Transparency, openness and assertive qualities are essential
