Job description

MAIN PURPOSE:

·  This is a strategic position with responsibility for handling both internal and external education for Coronary Vascular Division.
·  Internal requirements would cover enhancing the technical, product and therapy knowledge of the field sales employees by driving the Certification and the Continued Education processes.
·  External Education and Training requirements would include training of interventional cardiologists, Referring physicians, technicians/ nurses, patient counselors, etc.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Coronary Vascular Trainer – Classroom and Field Trainer responsible for planning, designing and implementation of courses including course delivery and management.
·  Design and implement learning programs & delivery platforms to deliver results that align with CV’s therapy development initiatives
·  Identify learning requirements for employees and customers
·  Design learning programs, delivery platforms and content to address the learning requirements
·  Deliver training to customers and employees as per the education strategy
·  Define, document & implement all aspects of various types of courses in CV Education & their stakeholders
·  Interact in the field and evaluate need for new learning programs to address unmet education needs for customers and employees, Design and implement these programs
·  Function as a CV trainer and VCL technical specialist
·  Contribute to content management for the training of customers, employees and other stakeholders
·  Coordinate the implementation of divisional education initiatives
·  Constantly identify concepts, processes, tools to optimize CV’s education efforts and implement these
·  Lecture on therapies / products at physician forums

Manage CV Education Activities

·  Develop, define, and implement CV Education strategy for staff and customers.
·  Define and implement certification and continued learning plan initiatives for CV
·  Support and assess employees and distributors practically as part of their Certification process
·  Monitoring, tracking and reporting the entire certification and continued learning process.
·  Become a technical expert providing technical expertise.
·  Collaborate with Marketing and Market development teams to ensure appropriate content and consistent messages in all the programs, marketing and therapy campaigns.

Therapy & Procedure Training Centre (TPTC) Management

·  Manage overall functioning and management of the TPTC
·  Manage all the CV training equipment like the Virtual Cath Lab (VCL), programmers, Virtual patients, etc
·  Procuring and Management of all the demo and the VCL related hardware
·  Keep track of VCL for SEA when shared for internal and/or external trainings
·  Ensure the maintenance and servicing of the VCL as and when required
·  Budgeting and financial management of all the education activities and materials at the TPTC

Continuous Learning

·  Acquire technical expertise in CV products and therapies
·  Engage in continuous learning to become a technical expert in CV therapies and products and clinical benefit of therapies
·  Support implants, programming and follow-ups
·  Development of training abilities either through self development or formal programs

Logistics / Reporting

·  Work with the coordinator to ensure appropriate organization and support for the TPTC programs is provided
·  Interact with faculty and organize their participation to support training sessions and coordinate all activities of the physician faculty during the training session
·  Optimize usage of CV education resources such as the TPTCs, mobile simulators, training equipment
·  Communication and reporting of all the education activities

Desired profile

KEY EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & ESSENTIAL ATTRIBUTES:

·  Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering or Master’s Degree in Engineering
·  Supplement with the educational qualifications in the area of training and development
·  3 – 5 years of work experience with 1 – 2 years’ experience with a primary focus on education and training – experience in developing and deploying learning strategies
·  CV Therapy & product knowledge
·  Coronary Vascular field experience
·  Content & Curriculum Development
·  Demonstrate Analytical & Problem-solving skill while disseminating complex technical training
·  Proficiency in MS Office applications
·  Excellent communication skills with fluency in English – Written and Oral
·  Excellent Teaching & Presentation Skills for internal & external audience
·  Ability to disseminate the knowledge, train and educate external and internal stakeholders on implants
·  Professional presentation and "Presence"
·  People and Relationship building Skills including Networking Skills

·  Planning, executing and managing education programs

·  Willingness to travel (50% per month)
