Position Summary

The Inventory Control Coordinator is responsible for managing accurate inventory of all packs, raws and bone WIP inventory at KAN site.

Essential Functions

·  Maintain a clean, safe work environment that promotes associate safety and product integrity.
·  Must be willing to work over time when needed
·  Maintain a safe and clean work environment to promote associate safety and product integrity
·  Promote high quality team environment through effective teamwork and self-management with a positive attitude.
·  Manage all packaging and raw ingredient inventory to support daily production schedule
·  Check Production Report (PRD) in Red Prairie (RP) every morning to ensure no pallets are left from the previous shift, research any pallets left behind.
·  Check SITSTG in RP to see if any WIP pallets are staged to a pack line when another bone size is being packed off, investigate any discrepancies and make any necessary adjustments.
·  Ensure timely process of invoices through Ariba system
·  Setting up necessary POs
·  Daily adjustments of production scrap and raw material scrap
·  Cycle Count raw materials weekly
·  Cycle Count packaging materials bi-weekly
·  Documents and reports all adjustments with S&F and SAP
·  Check C054 to ensure all orders are processing correctly
·  Check COGI errors and properly clear / resolve any issues
·  Check inventory of all consumptions, 0007, 0004, P999
·  Scrap remaining inventory in consumption locations after cycle count of all material not currently being used
·  Blocked IDOCs verify and clear
·  Zsbal for WIP discrepancies between RP and SAP
·  COID to ensure WOs being used are on the current day so packs and raws will back flush
·  Ensure Shelf Life Report for packs and raws to ensure materials will not expire prior to being consumed
·  Escalate to schedulers if raws or packs will expire prior to consumption
·  Request approval to scrap obsolete packs, raws and bones
·  Inventory and Cycle Count weekly in SAP regrind, machine stretch wrap, machine tape and hand tape
·  Make any necessary adjustments to wrong quantities of pack, WIP or raws due to mislabeling, wrong batch, etc.
·  Error Tracker:
·  Populate Error Tracker daily with transactional errors from Packaging, Molding, and WIP
·  Create Transactional Error Follow-up forms for all Category 3(over $500) errors and send to shift manager and area manager for follow up with associate(s).
·  SOI (Supplier Owned Inventory:
·  SPOC for SOI
·  Ensure materials received on SOI are consumed in FIFO and moved from SOI to Mars Owned
·  Team with Receiving Associates to manage the SOI process
·  Other Responsibilities and Duties as assigned.

Education, Experience and Skills Required

·  High School Diploma or equivalent
·  In depth SAP knowledge for daily transactions
·  Problem solving capabilities
·  Must able to multi-task various projects and functions at any given time
·  Minimum of two years pet food and/or food manufacturing experience
·  Demonstrated leadership and technical skills adequate (as outlined above) for the position.
·  Evaluated in current position as meeting and/or exceeding job expectations (Mars associates)
·  Effective verbal and written communication skills
·  Effective analytical and troubleshooting skills

Preferred:

·  2 year associate degree
·  Experience in transportation, inventory and cost management
·  Pet food or food manufacturing experience
·  Excel knowledge using formulas and pivot tables
·  Knowledge of Six Sigma
·  Knowledge of Lean Principles
