HQ Internal Communications Officer (W/M)

Location: Aimargues (30 minutes from Montpellier)

Contract: Permanent

Salary Package: from 35k€ to 45k€

The Royal Canin HQ Internal Communications Officer is responsible for delivering engaging communications content and activities to inspire Associates based at the companies’ global HQ in Aimargues France. The role is vital to associate engagement, encouraging advocacy to the companies’ mission to transform the lives of 35 million cats and dogs.

The position reports to the Global Internal communication Director as is a strategic partner of the HQ Leadership Team. (management group responsible for the HQ associate community)

What are we looking for?

• Educated to a degree level in Communications or similar

• Minimum 2-3 Years in experience in a communications role or similar in a busy, diverse office environment
• Language – French and English to business level in both writing and speaking
• Proficient using Microsoft packages – e.g. Capable of preparing engaging presentations using Power Point; Comfortable managing large meetings physically (e.g. face to face town halls) or virtually (e.g. using Microsoft Teams)
• Experience and skilled in Illustrator or similar image/visual editing packages an advantage.
• Good prioritization and time management skills

What would be your key responsibilities?

The post holder will have end to end responsibility for the HQ internal comms strategy and HQ communications channels. They are expected to capture critical business information and translate that into meaningful, easy to digest messages and tactics for associates at the HQ.

As well as the ability to effectively plan and manage the HQ comms agenda, the post holder will have end to end responsibility for:

• Graphical content – posters, leaflets, site decoration e.g. wall graphics
• Digital Screens – for video and static content, screens situated throughout the site
• Townhalls – every month (in English and French)
• Newsletters – using Campaign Monitor software and templates to prepare regular associate newsletter (in English and French)
• Email – preparing email copy for critical business information via email, where other channels do not suit

• Events - Manages the communications calendar for HQ events and delivers key activities on campus relating to Royal Canin and Mars initiatives e.g. Pets work at work week; Pet adoption and Pet Friendly Office activation; Mars Associate Survey enagement activities; Great Place to Work activiation; other campaign events based on business need
