Global CMI Officer W/M - Royal Canin 
Aimargues (near Montpellier)


 

Context : 

The Global CMI Officer supports the CMI head in driving and delivering the Global CMI research plan for Royal Canin supporting the 3 Global Pillar Needs (Specialty Retail, Veterinary, Professionals) and R&D function, to accelerate our goal to become the #1 global reference in health and nutrition for cats and dogs. This role also accompanies :

a) the company focus on prescription and recommendation and greater focus on services beyond products

b) the digital transformation of Royal Canin and the opportunity to identify pet owner insights through data.

 

Key responsabilities :

·  Drive the understanding of prescribers and pet owners through the execution of ad hoc primary research with pet owners, veterinarians, retailers,
·  Drive the understanding of prescription and recommendation drivers,
·  Promote pet owner knowledge and insight generation (from digital data),
·  Pioneer CMI activities in the field of services beyond products,
·  Support all the CMI initiatives to best understand petographics,
·  Connect multiple data sources and transform them into meaningful actionable insights.

 

Scope :

Execute Ad Hoc primary research (50 %)

·  Design the most relevant research approach answering the key business questions,
·  Execute high quality research in partnership with external suppliers,
·  Be an added value partner in translating consumer based data points into powerful business insights,
·  Develop clear persuasive communication to influence business decisions,
·  Proactively share key conclusions and implications across the organization,
·  Ensure that the internal quality standards are met.

 

Develop a CMI understanding of prescription and recommendation drivers (50 %)

·  Prescription and recommendation are at the heart of the Royal Canin model. The Global CMI Analyst  will identify relevant data and information sources, conduct relevant studies, and will start exploiting data to maximize our understanding of prescription and recommendation, across pillars. A strong connection with the Digital team is to be expected.
·  This role requires frequent interactions with One Demand teams in countries and other Petcare CMIs
·  This role requires frequent interaction with the Digital team / Data team
·  The role is global and will require some limited travel (<20 %).

Educational and professional qualifications :

·  Minimum of a BA/BS in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics or Human Sciences (MBA or PhD preferred) 

Knowledge/Experience :

·  Experience in service focused industries (tourism, leisure, banking / insurance, specialized retail, e-commerce) 
·  Some relevant experience in data management (CRM, customer satisfaction, …)  
·  Digitally savvy
·  Familiar with a both qualitative and quantitative consumer research methods
·  Demonstrated ability to articulate business needs into research objectives
·  Demonstrated ability to influence and challenge key stakeholders and management teams
·  Basic understanding of syndicated measures across various data sources (sales, media, etc.)
·  Demonstrated ability to analyze data and make actionable recommendations.
·  Demonstrated project management skills
·  Vendor management or experience managing external partners a plus.
·  Ability to embrace cultural diversity.
·  Good communication skills
·  Strong command of English required. Other languages appreciated

·  Analytical Excellence : one of the aspects of the role is to promote the use of digital data to identify pet owner insights and better understand prescription and recommendation
