BACKGROUND

At the heard of ~Digital Mars, our digital tansformaiton, is a set of capabilities, mindset shifts and operating model we’re call the Digital Engine. We seek to solve Problems using Analytics & Data in a user centric way. To support this we are driving the growth of our Azure Data Lake, with the right processes, technology and skills we want to deliver break through insights through our team and enable a federated model using Data platforms across Mars.

To enable our Digital Transformation we need to deliver business value in a more agile, user centric & rapid pace with the right talent delivering great user experience.

THE JOB

This role is a great opportunity to join our data platforms and engineering team to ensure we are delivering value, while remaining agile and delivering at speed. Partnering with the many Analytics initiatives and projects across Digital Technologies to bring together the portfolio and visibility of Products.

KEY OUTPUTS

·  Work closely with architects and support teams in developing and driving automation for Mars’ key data platform driving analytics across the globe.
·  Design and develop technical work packages essential for running a high performing Azure Datalake environment.
·  Create new and manage exisiting data pipelines and data transformation Python notebooks to support multiple projects with their data ingestion requirements.
·  Provide expertise in Azure DevOps build and release process.
·  Develop, test and manage Powershell scripts for efficient monitoring, alerting and communicating of exceptions, failures.
·  Take a critical view and make recommendations of the component used in solutions to ensure cost optimization for consumption of MS Azure resources.
·  Help define the impact of changes to the platform on our solutions.
·  Provide consulting support to project team members on areas of technical depth within the Azure platform.
·  Building relationships within the wider team and beyond to ensure understanding of Data and Analytics projects and be able to understand synergies
·  Good understanding of JIRA is required to maintain and operate the process and operate the process
·  Provide initial data ingestion assessments estimation of cost and delivery times, working with the development team. Ensure correct cross charges are applied.

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES

Education & Professional Qualification

·  Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
· 
Knowledge/Experience

·  Vast experience in Business intelligence area of which at least the last 3 in Microsoft and cloud technologies.
·  Well versed in all aspects of Azure technology with key focus on PaaS, IaaS and serverless components.
·  Experience in patterns designing patterns and building Azure Solutions.
·  Experience in sourcing data from multiple sources preferable SAP, Sales Force, Third party Web Analytic services.
·  Rich experience in building Azure Data Factory jobs including Custom Activities, Azure Data Lake Store, Azure Storage Accounts, U-SQL, Power-Shell, Azure Active Directory, Azure key Vault, Azure Batch, SQL Data Warehouse, Azure Data Bricks using Python coding , Visual Studio Team Services, ARM
·  Experience in Azure capacity monitoring and development of custom scripts for capacity alerts and recommendations
·  Experience in designing, developing and deploying of Databricks notebooks using Python.
·  A genuine interest in Data and Analytics.
·  Must have excellent communication skills, able to work with all levels of a business and interact effectively with internal stakeholders.
·  JIRA, Power BI and Tableau skills desirable.
