Job Summary

The Westin Seattle is looking for a Service Express Relief Dispatcher who enjoys communicating guest requests in a delightful manner following standard procedures and using the guest's name. It is essential for the Service Express Dispatcher to have 100% accuracy with the detailed information and advising associates when appropriate. The Service Express Dispatcher will use multi-tasking techniques and remain calm to ensure each guest is cared for and the message is properly relayed to the correct department.

Requirements

An exceptional candidate will have an energizing yet relaxing personality and:

-Must speak, read, write and understand the primary languages in the workplace

-Have good communication skills

-Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and other employees

-Must have basic computer skills

-High school or equivalent education required

-Previous customer service experience required

-Previous hotel experience preferred

-Maintain a neat, clean, well-groomed appearance per Starwood standards

-Be willing to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets; report work related accidents, or other injuries immediately upon occurrence to manager/supervisor. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests' service needs. Speak with others using clear and professional language; answer telephones using appropriate etiquette; exchange information using electronic devices. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals. Enter and locate work-related information using computers and/or point of sale systems. Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift. Read and visually verify information in a variety of formats. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
