POSITION SUMMARY

The Manager – LightSpeed Training, Americas position provides on-site training and operation support services to new, converting, and existing hotels. This role is responsible for facilitating business process integration, service and application training, and will focus on installing and training the LightSpeed property management system. Other primary responsibilities include the oversight and coordination of on-site installation (including hotel staff and installation team), delivery of system application and operations training, and facilitating functional use of systems (hardware and software) to customers.

EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONS

·  Facilitates business process and application integration; educating the customer on system application functionality. Influences property to integrate functionality into business processes in order to positively impact operational and financial goals.
·  Conducts service and application training for all new/existing property systems users during hotel openings, conversions and revisits.
·  Reviews and makes appropriate customization to training documentation.
·  Prepares, coordinates, and facilitates training for all systems users ensuring training standards are maintained.
·  Manages training rooms and equipment; inventories training materials; orders additional training materials as necessary.
·  Maintains accurate and timely training and tracking records and distributes to in-scope leadership as required.
·  Communicates any factors that may affect training, hardware or software installation to the on-site training lead or team members as appropriate.
·  Performs and/or facilitates conversion tasks by communicating and coordinating with hotel staff, installation and conversion teams.
·  Provides performance support & on-demand training during the live monitoring period, inclusive of the overnight shift.
·  Provides regular and consistent feedback to hotel management regarding associate use of application and provides recommendations to promote the hotel's success with application.
·  Completes conversion activities for financial and occupancy balancing with great attention to detail.

·  Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
·  80 - 90% travel required.
CANDIDATE PROFILE - KEY TALENTS AND EXPERIENCE DESIRED
EXPERIENCE:
·  EXPERIENCE IN HOTEL OPERATIONS SYSTEMS WHICH SHOULD INCLUDE: LIGHTSPEED, OPERA, FSPMS, FOSSE, OR BAR.
·  EXPERIENCE IN HOTEL OPERATIONS AND TRAINING PREFERRED.
·  Consistently works on perfecting training delivery skills to best meet customer needs.
·  Manages special projects as designated by the on-site lead or manager.
·  DevelopS a strong rapport with customers and co-workers.
·  WORKS WELL under pressureTakes advantage of opportunities to broaden other skills for training delivery flexibility and process integration.
·  Represents Marriott International, The Openings and Transitions Team, and LightSpeed with the utmost of PROFESSIONALISM.
·  Minimum of one year Marriott or Starwood property-based supervisory or management experience preferred.
·  EXHIBITS EXCELLENT WRITTEN, VERBAL AND PRESENTATION SKILLS.
Education
·  4-year bachelor's degree from an accredited university in a related field appropriate to work of the position preferred; OR related work experience using property management systems.
