Additional Information: This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, Silverwest Hotel. The franchisee controls all aspects of the hotel's employment policies and practices, including the selection and hiring process. If you accept a position at this hotel you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International.

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:




Responsible for assisting the General Manager in implementing and overseeing all operational activities and departments in the hotel in order to maximize revenue, profitability and guest satisfaction.

JOB SUMMARY:

Strong Management skills; ability to appropriately assign/delegate work and authority to others in the accomplishment of goals; provides coaching, advice and assistance as required; helps subordinates overcome obstacles and deal with problems; appropriately assess contributions and performance of employees; provide appropriate recognition, and deal with problems as they arise. Instill in others a sense of pride in the job at hand.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·  Remain highly visible and be readily available for associates and guests at all times.
·  Provide exceptional customer service to all hotel guests, making their stay as comfortable and accommodating as possible while achieving team and Brand goals and standards.
·  Review and ensure that all policies, procedures, federal, state, and local ordinances with regard to personnel, security, cash handling, guest relations, and safety are followed.
·  Maintains and improves property standards and service to ensure guest satisfaction and the right public image.
·  Manage and monitor various inventories including guest supplies, linens and F&B.
·  Ensure compliance with QA standards.
·  Achieve budgeted revenue and profit goals, balancing cost with guest satisfaction.
·  Comply with all corporate financial controls including, but limited to accounting procedures, accounts receivable, accounts payable and cash handling.
·  Conduct with guest room inspections on a regular basis and enforces the implementation of actions toward the safety, comfort, cleanliness and maintenance standards.
·  Selects, trains, and directs department supervisors and other associates as necessary keeping them well versed in all policies and procedures.
·  Ensures orientations for new team members are thorough and completed in a timely fashion.
·  Ensures property hiring practices comply with I-9, and EEO requirements and strives for a culturally diverse work place.
·  Takes proactive approaches when dealing with employee concerns. Assists team supervisors with constructive coaching and counseling.
·  Act as Manager on Duty during General Managers absence.
·  Perform other duties as required.

REQUIREMENTS:

·  Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
·  Prior hotel operations management experience preferred.
·  Brand experience preferred.
·  Excellent team building and leadership skills. Uses good interpersonal skills and abilities to relate to people of varying ages and backgrounds.
·  Excellent computer and organizational skills needed.
·  High energy and strong work ethic.
·  Strong oral and written communication skills.
·  Ability to manage difficult guest situations, respond promptly to guest needs, solicits guests feedback to improve service. Excellent customer service skills.
·  Be a change leader as we adopt new processes and refine existing ones.
·  Knowledge of safety management principles; federal and state OSHA regulations.
·  Available to work when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights.
