Desired profile

Qualifications :

Meet group coordinator/host(ess) prior to functions, make introductions, and ensure that all arrangements are agreeable. Read and analyze banquet event order in order to gather guest information, determine proper set up, timeline, specific guest needs, buffets, action stations, etc. Respond to and try to fulfill any special banquet event arrangements. Follow up on special banquet event arrangements to ensure compliance.

Effective Management of Groups

· 
Executing superior events will strengthen customer loyalty and increase repeat business opportunities. Up selling of weddings, social and corporate events will result in increased total event revenue.

· 
Careful and accurate forecasting and reporting of rooms and catering functions, will allow for better revenue management, and increased total hotel revenue.

· 
Prepare Event Management related documents throughout the planning process (e.g., banquet event orders, group confirmation lists, proforma invoices etc).

· 
Promote awareness of brand image internally and externally. Use sales techniques that maximize revenue while maintaining existing guest loyalty to Marriott.

· 
Answer guest questions about property facilities/services (e.g., hours of operation, packages, promotions, entertainment, restaurants).

· 
Serve as the point of contact for clients and communicate with them by phone and email to respond to questions and requests in a timely manner

· 
Growing a knowledge for Sales and working closely with the Business Development Manager to secure new business on weekends by running your own site appointments.

· 
Assist in admin related tasks within the sales and marketing office

Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces. Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces and steps. Move up and down stairs and/or service ramps. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards. Speak with others using clear and professional language, and answer telephones using appropriate etiquette. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
