Assistant Team Manager Branding and Packaging (15 Months FTC )

Job description



Our Branding and Packaging Department buzzes with activity all day long as one of our biggest and fastest-growing teams. Based in our Head Office in Wimbledon, you’ll join an atmosphere where people thrive on the fast pace of the retail sector. You will be responsible for overseeing the packaging process life cycle between buyers, suppliers, artwork production agencies, photographers and legal consultants. You will have direct line management responsibility for three members of the team and will be responsible for their development and day to day activities.

What you'll do

·  Overseeing packaging processes and workflows
·  Line managing a team of three including training, recruitment and appraisals
·  Agreeing and adhering to critical paths
·  Prioritising and managing multiple projects at different stages
·  Proofreading and checking packaging artwork
·  Briefing artwork to production agencies
·  Liaising with various internal Head Office departments as well as suppliers and external design agencies
·  Managing processes in the product life cycle
·  Ad hoc project management and administrative tasks

What you'll need

·  Degree level or relevant qualification ie: Prince 2 is desirable but not essential
·  Previous experience within a packaging and design background
·  Previous line management experience
·  Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
·  Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
·  A strong multi-tasker with excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise conflicting deadlines
·  Hands-on approach and a keen eye for detail
·  Intermediate Excel skills are essential
·  German language would be an advantage but not essential
·  Must have a passion for the food/retail industry
