LHOIST Key figures = 15 million tons of burnt product as well as 30 million tons of minerals sold on every continent, in both mature and emerging markets. Main Responsibilities:
- Market observations and assessment to report dynamics of steel industry, company performance and possible business opportunities,
- Support identification and evaluation (market sizing) of unmet customer needs or new opportunities.
- take the control and the lead of the Business intelligence tool for steel application in order to extra relevant trends and news
- Support the development of products and services at, pilot and industrial scales
- Assessment and validation of innovative solution profitability (Value in use model, process models etc..)
- Support strategic projects involving either our sales team or operational team in the 4 main Lhoist regions (Europe, North America, South America, and South-Est Asia) in particular for the Iron ore binder project. Several week Trips to these regions are foreseen.
- Support customer application tasks involving the development of new solutions in particular for Iron Ore binding (pellet application)
Profile:
- Bac +5 Chemical or material sciences, Metallurgical or Materials Engineering
- Bac + 5 Business School
- Speciality in Marketing and/or Sales
- Very good communication skills
- Results oriented with a good sense of Team spirit
- Very good organization and sense of priority
- Analytical and Presentation skills
- Flexible and reactive
- Fluent in English (oral and written)
- MSc or PhD in the above areas is a differential
- Advanced MS-Excel and MS-Powerpoint skills is a differential
- Some knowledge on the Steel industry is a differential
Duration: 1 year with possible renewal for 6 or 12 months
Location:
The internship will take place in the Business innovation Center of the Lhoist group, which is situated in Nivelles 30 km south of Brussels (Belgium). The work language is English with direct report to the associate director Steel
