What will be your key mission?

You will take care of the Sustainable and eco-friendly development of innovative cosmetic active ingredients based on plant cell culture technologies.

Who are you?

With a Post-Doc or a PhD you have at least 2 years of professional experience and a strong expertise in plant cell culture technologies & phytochemistry. An industrial experience would be appreciated.

You are independent and truly creative. You can proactively propose new concepts and implement technical solutions and process developments

You are passionate about experimental work and you are able to quickly develop an applied vision
You have good Project Management skills

You have a good industrial vision and some intellectual curiosity

You are assertive, accountable, cooperative and flexible in a team environment
You are fluent in English

These technical skills are recommended for this position:

Phytochemistry: selection of plants on the basis of their metabolic diversity

Plant cell culture technologies:

•Induction of callus production
•Elicitation to boost selected marker levels
•In vitro propagation of: elicitated plant stem cells (i.e. undifferenciated cells) cells from root/shoot/leaf or seeds (i.e. differentiated biomass)
•Protoplast fusion
•down-stream processes to produce biomass extracts enriched in secondary metabolites
•quality control
•Implementation of new processes and technological solutions.
•Development of cryopreservation protocols
•Experience in pilot or industrial scale would be an advantage
