Digital Business Intelligence Engineer (6-month contract)

DIGITAL BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE ENGINEER (CONTRACT)
Approximately 3 days per week and six month term

Support the digital intelligence team on the development of a data visualization platform to empower marketers across L'Oreal USA. Work alongside business owners to provide solutions and custom intelligence requirements.

Role Description:

·  Develop business intelligence software within L'Oreal USA's cloud-based platform, DOMO.
·  Build, Q/A & launch data connectors and custom visualizations.
·  Partner with business representatives and third-party partners to improve efficiency of data flows.

Experience & Qualifications:

·  Exceptional SQL skills
·  Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and VBA
·  Proven experience handling large data sets
·  Proven experience translating business needs into development requirements
·  Expertise with at least one of the following database technologies and familiarity with the others: relational, columnar and NoSQL (eg. MySQL, Oracle, MSSQL, Vertica, MongoDB)
·  Understanding of data models, eg. conceptual, logical and physical model design - with both traditional 3rd normal form as well as dimensional modeling, such as star and snowflake
·  Demonstrated interest in keeping up with emerging BI technologies
·  Demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines while juggling multiple projects simultaneously
·  Ability to consistently perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment
·  Experience working with APIs, front-end dev tech (Javascript, CSS, HTML), scripting (Java, R, Python), and statistical methodologies are a plus.
