Job description

Title: Facilities and OHSA Supervisor

Business Unit: Facilities

Reporting to: National Facilities Manager

Purpose of the Job:

To ensure a safe and pleasant environment for staff and visitors to the KPMG Johannesburg offices by supervising the conditions and upkeep of all KPMG Johannesburg buildings and OHSA activities for KPMG.

Key job duties or responsibilities:

·  Ensure high levels of service delivery by reporting departments

·  Supervise and quality control building maintenance

·  Implementation and maintaining of ISO Integrated Standards

·  Drafting ISO policies, procedures and checklists,

·  Assisting in conducting ISO internal and external audits,

·  Implement and manage Health and Safety compliance nationally

·  Report on and investigate OHS incidents

·  Report on incident statistics nationally

·  Supervise contractor's operational delivery

·  Assist in drafting contractors SLA's,

·  Assisting in managing churns and offices alterations

·  Ensure compliance to fire detection and prevention systems,

·  Identify and mitigate OHS risks,

·  Present OHS and security induction to new staff members and contractors

·  Coordinate and oversee OHS evacuation drills

·  Supervise the staff in facilities department.

·  Manage ORAS and ISO 9001, 18001,14001 and security issues.

·  Managing contracts and SLA agreements all service providers.

·  Ensure control over budget/ expenditure in the department

·  Assist with budgeting figures annually

·  Manage the assets of KPMG Johannesburg

·  Subtenant Liaison in KPMG Johannesburg

·  Manage access controlto buildings

·  Ensure lowest operational costs for each unit.

·  Ensure that all procurement in the department is in accordance with KPMG procurement policy, financial regulations and free of any irregularities .

Qualifications and experience

Grade 12

Relevant tertiary qualification

5 years relevant experience

2 years supervisory experience in a similar role

Good Computer skills in Word, Excel and Outlook

ISO accredited

OHSA accredited
