Job Description
We are looking for Warehouse Operatives to join our dynamic and fast paced team at Reading and provide best in class customer solutions for our Waitrose contract. Our Warehouse Operative role is seen as a main drive of the Operation satisfy the need of the customer, whilst carrying out Goods in, order assembly, checking, loading and hygiene to the standard and timescale required in a multi-temperate operation. Our ideal candidate must have excellent attention to detail and be able to accurately follow order instructions to the letter. Working on behalf of the Waitrose contract you will be working in a freezer warehouse and the environment is -22°C, protective clothing (all shifts) and a hot meal will be provided.
Your Tasks and Responsibilities
· Use material handling equipment (MHE) to unload incoming materials from trailers
· Verify and receive goods into stock, may include palletising and shrink-wrap; Duties may include receiving, checking and storing goods
· Be required to stack product into roll cages and repeatedly lift goods
· Use MHE to move and store goods within the Warehouse, assist with picking, verify and pack store orders in line with Safe Working Practices and use MHE or other designated means to load goods into trailers for distribution
· To ensure the operation of all MHE is in accordance with operational procedures at all times
· To work from pick sheets, labels or ‘pick by voice' equipment and to check and fulfil orders
· To achieve relevant pick target for specific chamber and all KPIs as agreed by the company
· To ensure principles of good housekeeping are maintained Ensuring that health & Safety, Food Hygiene standards, HACCP regulations are followed at all times, within operational procedures
Your Skills and Experience
· Proven basic math skills at Secondary School level
· Able to establish priorities and accomplish multiple tasks with minimal supervision
· Customer Focused
· Prior experience in a Warehouse environment
· Teamwork
· Customer Orientation
· Flexibility
