Cooltainer, a division of Kuehne + Nagel New Zealand Ltd is a specialist refrigerated container division; providing temperature controlled perishable commodities throughout New Zealand, Australia, Papua New Guinea, Pacific Islands and beyond and are committed to providing excellent service.

We have a rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced individual to manage the operational aspects of a major key client, while also overseeing the Team dedicated to this account.

This is an 8.30am to 5pm role, Monday - Friday. However, flexibility is required for overtime where necessary.

Your tasks and responsibilities

·  Providing oversight and leadership to the Team whilst ensuring that business KPIs are consistently met
·  Handling escalated queries for both internal and external clients; managing expectations and providing solutions
·  Coordinating coverage of workflow
·  Providing training and development to the team including induction/ on boarding new staff
·  Produce and distribute official shipping documents for seafreight, road, and rail transport bookings and coordination of support documents. Including; client specific documentation, on behalf of clients or landside logistics and preparation for shipment or discharge
·  Manage containers and supplier communication on behalf of key account and with their manufactures and pack houses for both import and export containers.

Your skills and experience

·  Previous leadership experience is highly desirable
·  Minimum 3 - 5 years working within freight forwarding, specifically seafreight
·  New Zealand Customs PIN is preferred but not essential
·  High level of attention to detail
·  Excellent communication skills to provide high level of customer service
·  Ability to multitask and work with deadlines
·  Flexibility to adapt to change in a team environment
·  Intermediate knowledge in Microsoft Office with advanced typing skills
