Job description

Summary
Provide technical expertise, administration and analysis for benefits and compensation to ensure our programs are market relevant, compliant with all legal requirements, to attract, and retain talent to drive business results. Ensure compliance for Compensation and Benefits areas by staying current on compensation and benefit best practices and relevant laws and regulations.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties


Benefits
· Manage, administer and analyze all leave of absences, processes claims including: STD and LTD claims; acts as vendor liaison for FMLA and STD
· Answers employee questions related to: health benefits, 401(k), Company policies, etc.
· And acts as second level escalation for benefits (health and welfare, 401k, etc.) issues
· Monitors employee eligibility for health, medical and dental insurance
· Reviews benefits with employees and processes enrollment, cancellation or changes
· Monitors 401(k) enrollment, changes, terminations, and upload of payroll files
· Participates in the design and execution of Annual Enrollment for Benefits
· Help prepare government filings, plan audits, or other tax-reporting requirements
Compensation
· Participates in market and salary surveys, conducts benchmarking, and analyzes compensation structures to support brands and shared services
· Evaluate and maintain current job descriptions
· Reviews new hire, promotion and off-cycle increases for equity and compliance
· Supports the annual merit and bonus process by preparing communications, opening the tool, providing analysis, reviewing recommendations, and consolidating data for approval and payment

Skills & Requirements

Education and Experience
·  Bachelor's degree in business or other related discipline; 2-4 years' experience working in compensation and benefits performing similar duties; working knowledge of benefits operations, concepts and policies.
·  Technical knowledge of compensation principles, tools and techniques; understanding of people management and human resource functions and systems.
·  Basic understanding and application of Compensation and Benefits laws including ERISA, ACA, FMLA, CORBR, ADEA, HIPAA, FLSA, California and other state wage and hour and benefit requirements.
·  Demonstrated competence in one or more HR information systems, preferably Ceridian/Dayforce and Workday
·  Mastery of Excel and intermediate to advanced skills in other Microsoft Suite applications preferred

·  Ability to effectively compose business correspondence, policies and procedures, detailed presentations, and analyses
·  Ability to define problems, research and collect data, establish and evaluate facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to make administrative and procedural judgments on sensitive, confidential issues
·  Ability to plan, coordinate, and administer complex administrative systems and processes
·  Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing and effectively communicate with people at all levels of the organization. Must have a high degree of attention to detail
·  Sense of urgency and good follow-up. Evidence of ability to practice a high level of confidentiality
·  Effective decision-making skills and can properly collect, analyze, and report data
