Job Title : Assistant Accountant (Inventory & costing)

Brand/Division : Finance

Reporting Line : Inventory & Costing Team Leader

Location : Shanghai, China

Role Objective

The Assistant Inventory & costing accountant is able to be responsible for the sub-ledger accounting function including preparing journal costing entries, maintaining stock management system, accounting and stock system reconciliations and stock write off registering and monitoring, solve system issue and enhance store inventory control , prepare accurate and timely inventory related reports and ensure appropriate account control procedures. He/ she is customer-oriented and autonomous, solves issues proactively and continuously seeks for improvements.

Responsibilities

Day to day responsibilities:

- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly sales report and timely adjust variance in different system

- Prepare sales discount/price override report and provide the necessary control for it

- Timely monthly closing for the sales in different system

- Prepare store to store transfer report, negative on hand report and provide support to solve problem

- Timely process stock write in/off in different system

- Coordinate Logistics and User to complete variance adjustment

- Monthly stock reconciliation check within different system

- Maintain costing of merchandise for direct purchase

- Maintain costing of non-merchandise items, such as uniform & shopping bag

- Timely monthly closing for the costing issues caused by sales, stock write in/off, goods transfer between branches with headquarters

- Other ad hoc job related with inventory control

Value added responsibilities:

- Prepare monthly financial management report related with stock and costing part

- Support Operation and MIS to resolve any system issue

Desired profile

Qualifications :

Requirements

Experience, business and technical skills:

- Bachelor or above in Finance, Accounting or equivalent

- 1+ years of accounting working experience in a similar position (prior experience in a FSSC would be appreciated)

- General knowledge of processes within Finance Function and good understanding of General Accounting function

- Good knowledge in MS office as well as ERP system (YongYou)

- Knowledge of Chinese and IFRS accounting rules

- Knowledge of Chinese Tax authorities practises

- Good English skills would be appreciated
