- Baby Products EMEA M/F-1500071265WDescriptionResponsibilities:Johnson & Johnson Consumer products Company is recruiting for a Global Franchise Leader.
Global Franchise Packaging assists our Business leaders in the creation and co-development of innovation strategies, platforms and pipeline of new products, which are tied to Global Consumer Franchise strategies.
They are the voice of packaging in the Global Franchise Organization and they will navigate the Global Packaging organization to provide quality-packaging solutions to the business.
The scope of brands include Johnson’s, Aveeno Baby , Penaten, Elsker and Natusan.
The Global Franchise packaging Manager will be responsible for driving and implementing short and long-term package innovation strategy to achieve the business objectives of the baby category for new product launches. This leader will deliver innovative package solution and develop package platforms and menus of options to provide differentiated packaging that provides value to consumer and are sustainable, affordable and price tier-relevant when necessary.
The position requires managing all the aspects of packaging development activities, such as overseeing critical projects, implementing roles and responsibilities within the team and executing global strategy at the regional level.
This level position supervises subordinate positions that require highly proficient technical skill on site or remotely.
This key position leverages customer and end user insights, translates insights into new product development, develops package strategy, conducts technical and financial feasibility assessments and transfers aligned designs for commercialization on a regional and global scale.
Working experience in a Cross Functional, fast-paced environment is required. A highly motivated individual with strong technical, analytical and interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and levels is required.
The position may represent Global Packaging in external partnership activities or at professional functions.
Missions:
- The primary objectives of this position are:
- Partner with Marketing, R&D and Design leaders to understand category strategy, proactively develop the packaging strategy and challenge team and self to deliver innovative package solutions
- Deliver EMEA packaging pipeline for the category in partnership with the regional leaders
- Work with R & D to identify appropriate package performance requirements and consumer testing and assess formula compatibility
- Plan and direct complex technical projects
- Identify opportunities to further improve quality, cost and speed for new product development, and reduce complexity of the packaging portfolio
- Develop process to manage package innovation ideas from concept to commercialization, including:
- Keeping current on new industry developments and technologiesConnecting with internal and external partners to identify new packaging concepts and solutions
- Leading and coordinating innovation workshops with suppliers,
- Leading package innovation team to brainstorm packaging ideas; assessing technical and economic feasibility; identifying resources needed and potential launch timing; communicating results and ideas to Franchise and developing and commercializing prototypes and new packages
- Integrate with Global Sourcing and partner with suppliers to identify innovative packages and solutions; develop supplier network and promote global mindset and seek more efficient regional execution
- Seeks out, identifies and develops new sustainable packaging initiatives
- Effectively manage key internal and external business partner relationships to support Consumer EMEA Packaging’s success
- Build Capabilities
- Build and consolidate packaging knowledge in the team and develop high potentials for future growth
- Seek for external skills and solutions
- Grant appropriate training to team members and develop talentsThis position will require up to 20% travel both domestic and international.
QualificationsEDUCATION:A minimum of a scientific master degree (mechanical or package engineering) or a related field is required.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: specific packaging development experience in Toiletries or Food industry at a brand owner or supplier is required.
A minimum of 8-10 years of industry experience is required with at least 5 years of Package Development experience required. A minimum experience in people/line management is required.
Previous experience in multi-national organization is preferred.
