Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties as assigned. ·

·  Performs electrical repairs, minor to mid-level installations and routine service work.
·  Examine, replace, relocate, or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, lighting fixtures and other electrical components.
·  Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, grounding, voltage and resistance.
·  Maintain, repair, test electrical motors.
·  Trace lines and examine drawings to facilitate repairs or modifications and install temporary grounding and lockout/tagout to facilitate work.
·  Interact with clients and maintenance staff to determine the best approach for completion of assignments in a safe, environmentally compliant manner.
·  Responds to operational and emergency situations, analyzing electrical systems and determining course of action.
·  Maintain work area and equipment in a safe, efficient and clean operating condition.
·  Candidate will be trained to respond to system alarms on facilities and building systems including air handlers, domestic water, chilled water, hot water, steam, humidification, building exhaust, compressed air, controls, lighting, and electrical, etc.
·  Completes preventive maintenance (PMs) as assigned including performing general maintenance and repairs when on weekend coverage or special circumstances.
·  Assists senior mechanics with more complex tasks or major repairs/modifications.
·  Availability to work overtime (both scheduled and emergency), after hours (early morning or late night), weekends and holidays as required.
·  Exposed to commercial mechanical, electrical, and building systems.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Requires 3 years of experience installing and/or maintaining commercial electrical systems and electrical equipment.
Knowledge of National Electric Code, OSHA standards, Confined Space, and local codes. Familiarity with Arc-flash protection requirements.
Team player, hard worker, good interpersonal skills, ability to communicate well in both oral and written reports
Skilled and physically able to operate electric hand tools, work on a ladder, carry tools, lift and carry heavy loads, operate required equipment, and operate a motor vehicle
Able to work in close places spaces such as closets, crawl spaces, attics, vaults, etc.
Able to work on roofs of buildings or up in bucket lifts.

Education & Experience

·  High school diploma or general equivalency degree (GED).

·  Attend all electrical safety courses offered and scheduled by management
·  Attend all scheduled safety training offered and scheduled by management
