SUMMER INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW

JLL is currently seeking a dynamic individual for the role of Intern to provide reliable, timely, and efficient support to one of our brokerage teams in Vancouver, Toronto, Calgary, Edmonton, Montreal. The position entails working with a diverse group of internal and external Stakeholders at all levels of the organization, and the individual will require the independent judgment to plan, prioritize, and organize a diverse workload. Capital Markets

·  Gather market information and provide support for the brokerage team
·  Prepare for pitches and create other marketing tools
·  Manage the database of property owners and reaching out to new and potential clients
·  Participate in weekly team meetings, intern meetings and mentor/mentee meetings
·  Complete end of the year internship pitch presentation to panel

Tenant Representation Group

·  Update database projects in ReApps and Costar
·  Conduct Building walks to establish tenant rosters within buildings – building tenant information
·  Consolidate market surveys into one master slide deck
·  Provide market and research support to tenant representation group
·  Participate in weekly team meetings, intern meetings and mentor/mentee meetings
·  Complete end of the year internship pitch presentation to panel

National Retail Investment Group

·  Conduct and verify research, providing support for the brokers
·  Gather market information and provide support for the retail team
·  Support proposal process
·  Cold call
·  Manage the database of property owners and reach out to new and potential clients
·  Participate in weekly team meetings, intern meetings and mentor/mentee meetings
·  Complete end of the year internship pitch presentation to panel

Industrial

·  Tracking vacant parcels of land
·  Learn the daily operations of leasing and selling of warehouses and industrial land
·  Conduct and verify research, providing support for the brokers
·  Gathering market information and provide support for the industrial team
·  Support proposal process
·  Manage the database of property owners and reach out to new and potential clients
·  Participate in weekly team meetings, intern meetings and mentor/mentee meetings
·  Complete end of the year internship pitch presentation to panel

Agency Leasing

·  Participate in site visits to compile tenant information
·  Learn the daily operations of leasing
·  Conduct and verifying research, providing support for the brokerage team
·  Gathering information and provide support for the agency leasing team
·  Understand city, owners and tenants
·  Manage the database of property owners and reach out to new and potential clients
·  Participate in weekly team meetings, intern meetings and mentor/mentee meetings
·  Complete end of the year internship pitch presentation to panel

QUALIFICATIONS

·  Currently enrolled in Post-secondary education in Commerce, Economics, Business Administration, Urban Economics, Urban Planning, or Urban Geography
·  Experience in the commercial real estate sector is an asset
·  Demonstrated proficiency with all applicable software packages including but not limited to MS Windows; MS Office, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; Adobe Professional, X, or Standard; CRM; MLS; and RECBC

REQUIRED SKILLS

·  Good verbal and written communication skills
·  Proficiency in another language is an asset
·  Professional yet personable demeanor
·  Must be self-motivated and proactive
·  Excellent time management and organizational skills
·  Must be able to adapt and prioritize, meeting deadlines, in a fast-paced environment
·  Must operate with a sense of urgency, quickly responding to Stakeholders
·  Must be able to work well independently with an ability to work collaboratively with others
