The Data Centre and Hosting service within our business is undergoing a major change initiative as part of a wider portfolio of change encompassing all Enterprise IT and Infrastructure services. Our strategy is to consolidate hosting wherever possible from the six existing data centres down to two enterprise class data centres (private cloud), hosted internally utilising a software defined platform.

 

Initially, you will work alongside the Data Centre and Hosting programme, ensuring that our new Cloud First strategy is successfully defined for a streamlined and optimised approach towards the placement of workloads across Public, Hybrid and Private Clouds. This will also include removing legacy applications and infrastructure.

 

As a member of the Hosting Product Management team, reporting to the Head of Hosting Product Management, you will be responsible for all aspects relating to the strategic direction and planning of the on-premise hosting function.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

You’ll need a strong understanding of industry standards and best practices for IT Infrastructure, maintaining current knowledge of industry trends and emerging technologies. You’ll have extensive experience with Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure and/or Google Cloud architectures. You’ll have Practical infrastructure automation skills and experience of delivering infrastructure-as-code into a public cloud environment within a large organisation.

 

You’ll understand Industry standards, security concepts, and best practices within infrastructure design and data security. You’ll be well-versed in, and have experience of, IT policies, procedures, and technology standards, and you’ll be comfortable making Disaster Recovery Models or recommendations when required.
