Data Management Specialist Manager, CCB Operations Administration

Description

The Consumer & Community Banking Data Management Intake team (CCB DM Intake) manages the platform, process (reviews, data preparation, workflow), and reporting for CCB data management engagements.

The Data Management Specialist works within the CCB DM Intake team context to review intake requests & data submissions, engage subject matter experts (SMEs) across Data Domains & CCB Sub-Lines of Business (Sub-LOBs), facilitate analysis work sessions to confirm, scrub, categorize, and align data to appropriate “processing channels”. The Data Management Specialist then prepares & loads data into the CCB strategic data certification platform (MRDX), initiates workflows, and completes process steps through successful hand-off to the Sub-Line of Business (Sub-LOB) Data Stewards for their certification activities. The role entails significant interaction with the CCB Sub-LOB Leads, Data Domain owners, and intake clients. This role requires effective multi-tasking, time management, facilitation, and communication skills (verbal and written) – and an understanding of Data Administration / Data Management concepts. The ideal candidate will be a “self-starter” with the ability to take ownership and lead delivery in a highly matrixed environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree (preferably in MIS / CIS / Engineering)

• 3 years of IT / Business Analyst experience

• Excellent written and oral communications skills

• Strong leadership & facilitation skills

• Strong data analysis / data management skills

• Solid MS-Office skills with advanced MS-EXCEL skills

• Knowledge of the MS-SharePoint platform

• Ability to work well with peers and customers of varying levels of technical expertise

• Successful experience as a member of a team / project group

• Flexible and responsive to changing priorities, tasks assignments, and ad hoc request

• Ability to manage assignments and independently provide time estimates for assigned delivery tasks

• Problem Solving: must possess strong analytical ability, judgment and problem analysis techniques;

• Demonstrated initiative / good judgment in decision making; taking appropriate actions on data workflow alignments according to established standards & best practices with minimal assistance; communicates, collaborates, engages, escalates, and educates stakeholders, as appropriate

• Desirable: In-depth knowledge of the business unit's functions and applications

• Desirable: Background in data analysis / data management functions

• Desirable: Understanding of data repositories / dictionary concepts

• Desirable: Understanding of data workflow tools (MRDX preferable)
