POSITION DESCRIPTION:
As a Trust Assistant, you will support a team of professionals in all facets of their daily business routine. You will perform diverse administrative functions requiring confidentiality, initiative, thoughtfulness, and follow-through.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Trust Advisor and Client Assistance

· Partner with Trust Officers and Trust Administrators in all aspects of trust administration
· Manage daily client inquiries and issues within established deadlines and in accordance with firm and business policies and procedures
· Assist Trust Officers and Trust Administrators with the oversight and follow-up on work performed by various partner groups to ensure the smooth administration of trust accounts (i.e. Fiduciary Tax, Operations, Cash Movement, Trust Settlements)
· Assist Trust Officers and Trust Administrators with research, follow-up and issue resolution through effective interaction with fiduciary and operations teams in a timely and professional manner
· Initiate internal forms and draft transmittal letters including, but not limited to, opening/closing paperwork, account title changes, closed account notices, name and address changes, tax residency, W-9s, client statement mailing set-ups, and tax cost updates
· Participate in special projects such as remediation efforts, UAT testing for technology enhancements, and other risk management efforts
· Assist with overflow, ad-hoc projects and day-to-day tasks as assigned

Technology

· Proficiency with proprietary J.P. Morgan systems and tools used to manage day to day trust transactions, including CPI, Workstation and OMNITrust
· Daily work within Microsoft Suite particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Technology

·  Strong computer skills and proficient knowledge of Microsoft Suite
·  Ability to learn procedures and proprietary systems quickly

Experience and Education

·  Knowledge of general office procedures (e.g., use of technology, office administration and management, regulation and controls, risk management, etc.)
·  1-2 years of experience in financial services; prior wealth management and trust management experience a plus
·  Bachelor Degree preferred
